1871 Astyanax (1971 FF) is a Jupiter Trojan asteroid of the Greek camp (whose orbits lie in the L4 point 60° ahead of Jupiter. It was discovered at the Palomar Observatory in March 1971 and was named after Astyanax infant son of Hector in Greek mythology.
