"Centro de Lançamento de Alcântara (CLA)" – Alcantara Launch Center
The CLA is Brazil’s spaceport. Located near the equator, it has excellent conditions for rocket launches.
Pads and runways
- The VLS pad with the associated Mobile Integration Tower ("TMI – torre móvel de integração") and rocket stand, used for the VLS and VLM rockets.
- The universal pad complete with the launch tower is used for sounding rockets such as the VS-40.
- Runway: 2591x45 m, lighted, "Aerodromo de Alcantara", ICAO / IATA: SNCW
