Euanthe (Jupiter XXXIII, S/2001 J 7) is a retrograde satellite of Jupiter. It was discovered by Scott Sheppard et al at the Mauna Kea Observatories in Hawaii in 2001. It is named for a Greek goddess.
Euanthe in Orbiter
Euanthe was first introduced into Orbiter with the add-on jupiter_v.zip in August 2003. Note that Euanthe is provided by the add-on as S/2001-J 7. To simulate it as Euanthe, the following changes need to be made.
- File:S2001_J7.cfg:
- change the filename to Euanthe.cfg
- change the name in the comment line in the top line to Euanthe (S/2001-J7, Jupiter)
- line 3, change NAME = to Euanthe
- Last line, change the name of Base1 = to Euanthe
- File:J7-Station.cfg
- change the filename to Euanthe-station.cfg
- Line 3, change the name to Euanthe-Station
- File:Jupiter_S2001J7.scn
- change the filename to Jupiter-Euanthe.scn
- Line 2, change J7 Station to Euanthe Station
- Find the GL-01 ship, change STATUS Landed S2001-J7 to Landed Euanthe
- Change BASE J7-Station:1 to Euanthe-Station:1
- File:S2001-J9.tex, change filename to Euanthe.tex
- File:S2001-J9M.BMP, change filename to EuantheM.BMP
