Themisto (Jupiter XVIII, S/1975 J 1) is a small prograde irregular satellite of Jupiter. It was discovered by Charles T Kowal and others in September 1975. But, it was lost, then it was recovered in 2000, and was named after the daughter of Inachus and lover of Zeus. Themisto orbits about halfway between Callisto and the other irregular moons.
