Aoede a retrograde irregular moons of Jupiter. It was discovered by Scott S Shepard et al in February 2003. Aoede was named after Aœde a daughter of Zeus.

Aoede in Orbiter[edit]

Aoede was released in the add-on outerplanets-050125.zip in January 2005.

In outerplanets-050125.zip, Aoede was referred to as S2003-J7. In order to use it as Aoede, the following changes must be made.

  • File:S2003_J7.cfg:
    • change the filename to Aoede.cfg
    • change the name in the comment line in the top line to Aoede (S/2003-J7, Jupiter)
    • line 3, change NAME = to Aoede
    • Last line, change the name of J7-Station = to Aoede-station
