Changed format[edit]
The format for the list is now more like the standard format. URLs don't begin with "<URL>". I'll add a way to support the non-URL regexps a bit later; right now I have to go. I have included the MediaWiki and the Chongqed blacklists. Hopefully we'll be getting much less spam now (for example, those URLs in today's spam were already in the Chongqed lists). If you get slower page saves than before, let me know, I'll set up local copies of the lists and nightly list updates. RaMan 13:17, 17 July 2006 (MSD)

- OK, it seems to be fine now. The chongqed list was too large, and we got an invisible "regexp is too large" warning. Currently the spam filter uses a local copy of the WikiMedia blacklist plus our own Project:SpamBlacklist. Our own list no longer supports arbitrary regexps; if we start getting more crap which requires arbitrary regexps I'll add this feature back. RaMan 23:51, 17 July 2006 (MSD)
