1872 Helenos (1971 FG) is a Jupiter Trojan asteroid of the Trojan camp (whose orbits lie in the L5 point 60° behind Jupiter). It was discovered at the Palomar Observatory in March 1971 and was named after Helenus of Troy in Greek mythology.
