2223 Sarpedon (1977 TL3) is a Jupiter Trojan asteroid of the Trojan camp (whose orbits lie in the L5 point 60° behind Jupiter). It was discovered by astronomers at the Purple Mountain Observatory in October 1977 and was named after the Lycian hero Glaucus from Greek mythology.
