The Polaris 1-XE is an experimental spacecraft from the World of 2001
This eXperimental-Engine vehicle
was a quick Aries adaptation thrown together to test
the high-power “Cavradyne” Gas Core Reactor
engine that made the Discovery mission to Jupiter
practical. There is only one example of this ship.
