Orthosie (Jupiter XXXV, S/2001 J 9) is a prograde satellite of Jupiter. It was discovered by Scott Sheppard et al at the Mauna Kea Observatories in Hawaii. It is named for a Greek goddess.

Orthosie in Orbiter

Orthosie was first introduced into Orbiter with the add-on jupiter_v.zip in August 2003. Note that Orthosie is provided by the add-on as S/2001-J 9. To simulate it as Orthosie, the following changes need to be made.

  • File:S2001_J9.cfg:
    • change the filename to Orthosie.cfg
    • change the name in the comment line in the top line to Orthosie (S/2001-J9, Jupiter)
    • line 3, change NAME = to Orthosie
    • Last line, change the name of Base1 = to Orthosie
  • File:J9-Station.cfg
    • change the filename to Orthosie-station.cfg
    • Line 3, change the name to Orthosie-Station
  • File:Jupiter_S2001J9.scn
    • change the filename to Jupiter-Orthosie.scn
    • Line 2, change J9 Station to Orthosie Station
    • Find the GL-01 ship, change STATUS Landed S2001-J9 to Landed Orthosie
    • Change BASE J9-Station:1 to Orthosie-Station:1
  • File:S2001-J9.tex, change filename to Orthosie.tex
  • File:S2001-J9M.BMP, change filename to OrthosieM.BMP
