Fregat is the name of a russian upper stage for medium payloads. It is derived from the propulsion system of the unsuccessful russian Phobos probes. It uses storable hypergolic propellants. and gets used by Soyuz launchers for GTO, MEO or interplanetary missions.

Whilst Fregat is normally included in other packages (Soyuz Launchers, Ariane 5 etc.), it can also be downloaded as a separate package.
