1404 Ajax (1906 TG) is a Jupiter Trojan asteroid of the Greek camp (whose orbits lie in the L4 point 60° ahead of Jupiter. It was discovered by Karl Reinmuth at the Heidelberg-Königstuhl State Observatory in August 1936 and was named after Ajax from Greek mythology.
