624 Hektor (1907 XM, 1948 VD) is the largest Jupiter Trojan asteroid and is a member of the Greek camp (whose orbits lie in the L4 point 60° ahead of Jupiter. It was discovered by August Kopff at the Heidelberg-Königstuhl State Observatory in February 1907 and was named after the Trojan hero Hector from Greek mythology. It is one of two trojans in the Greek camp named for a Trojan. Hektor also boasts a moon Skamandrios, but, it is not modeled in Orbiter.
