Halimede (Neptune IX, S/2002 N 1) a retrograde irregular moons of Neptune. It was discovered by Matthew J Holman et al on 14 August 2002. It is named for one of the Nereids in Greek mythology.

Halimede in Orbiter[edit]

Halimede was released in the add-on uranus-neptune_ii.zip in March 2003.

In outerplanets-050125.zip, Halimede was referred to as S2002-N1. In order to use it as Halimede, the following changes must be made.

  • File:S2002_N1.cfg:
    • change the filename to Halimede.cfg
    • change the name in the comment line in the top line to Halimede (S/2002-N1, Neptune)
    • line 3, change NAME = to Halimede
    • Last line, change the name of N1-Station = to Halimede-station
  • File:J2-Station.cfg
    • change the filename to Halimede-station.cfg
    • Line 3, change the name to Halimede-Station
  • File:Jupiter_S2001J2.scn
    • change the filename to Neptune_S2002-N1.scn
    • Line 2, change S2002-N1 Station to Halimede Station
    • Find the GL-01 ship, change STATUS Landed S2002-N1 to Landed Halimede
    • Change BASE N1-Station:1 to Halimede-Station:1
  • File:S2002-N1.tex, change filename to Halimede.tex
  • File:S2002-N1M.BMP, change filename to HalimedeM.BMP
