Kiviuq in Orbiter

Kiviuq was first introduced into Orbiter with the add-on saturn_iv.zip in February 2003. Note that Kiviuq is provided by the add-on as S/2000-S5. To simulate it as Kiviuq, the following changes need to be made.

  • File:S2000_S5.cfg:
    • change the filename to Kiviuq.cfg
    • change the name in the comment line in the top line to Kiviuq (S/2000-S5, Saturn)
    • line 3, change NAME = to Kiviuq
    • Last line, change the name of Base1 = to Kiviuq
  • File:S5-Station.cfg
    • change the filename to Kiviuq-station.cfg
    • Line 3, change the name to Kiviuq-Station
  • File:Saturn_S2000S5.scn
    • change the filename to Saturn_Kiviuq.scn
    • Line 2, change S5 Station to Kiviuq Station
    • Find the GL-01 ship, change STATUS Landed S2000-S5 to Landed Kiviuq-S5
    • Change BASE S5-Station:1 to Kiviuq-Station:1
  • File:S2000-S5.tex, change filename to Kiviuq.tex
  • File:S2000-S5M.BMP, change filename to KiviuqM.BMP
