Daphnis (Saturn XXXV, S/2005 S 1) is a small, inner satellite of Saturn, discovered in May 2005 from images taken from images taken by the Cassini probe. It was named after Daphnis, a Sicilian cowherd in Greek mythology.

Daphnis in Orbiter[edit]

Daphnis was introduced to Orbiter with the release of the add-on outer_planets-060929-base.zip as S/2005 S 1.

In outer_planets-060929-base.zip, Daphnis was referred to as S2004-S1. In order to use it as Daphnis, the following changes must be made.

  • File:S2005_S1.cfg:
    • change the filename to Daphnis.cfg
    • change the name in the comment line in the top line to Daphnis (S/2005-S1, Saturn)
    • line 3, change NAME = to Daphnis
  • File:S2005-S1.tex, change filename to Daphnis.tex
  • File:S2005-S1M.BMP, change filename to DaphnisM.BMP
